« I want to congratulateNigeria for their brilliant victory » Cameroon’s U20 coach Ndtoungou Mpile
After their 3-2 defeat against Nigeria at the finals of the African youth Championships,Cameroon’s coach Ndtoungou Mpile did not cease showering praises on their opponents, Nigeria as he said it was a well deserved victory for the flying Eagles.
« We watched an interesting final with lots of goals. We were opposed to a very strong Nigerian side today. We were able to come-back in the game and score two goals thanks to our determination and our passing game. But we conceded the first two goals through individual errors. We conceded a third goal but were unable to get back into the game and Nigeria logically deserved the win and I can only sit back and congratulate them” a humble Ndtoungou Mpile said at his post-match news conference.
“Nigeria were more organized today than they were when we met at the group stages.I had the feeling that the Nigerians were more determined than we were and their game was more elaborated today than when we earlier met. This gave us a lot of difficulties to contain. We committed several individual errors which we paid for them.In all,Nigeria were the better side than in the first game.” he proceeded.
As concerns their preparation for the world youth championships, he said “ I can not start talking of preparations today. We are just from the African youth Championships,we need a bit of rest and we we get back home we will talk with authorities of the FA.We will ensure that Cameroon has an honourable participation at the tournament” he concluded.
