Mauritania: Patrice Neveu appointed Coach
After Niger and Guinea, 52 years old former French player Patrice Neveu has been appointed new coach of the Mauritania national football team.
After Niger and Guinea, 52 years old former French player Patrice Neveu has been appointed new coach of the Mauritania national football team. The French trainer who has already signed the two year contract will have as main task to qualify the “Mourabitounes” for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by South Africa. He will also be responsible for the football academy in Nouakchott.
This appointment follows preliminary discussions with Neveu recently during which the president of the Mauritanian Football Federation (FFRIM), Ahmed Ould Abderrahmane reiterated the country’s needs of foreign expertise to breathe new life into their game.
