Nicolas Nkoulou wins first trophy with Marseille
Cameroon international defender, Nicolas Nkoulou yesterday grabbed his first trophy with Marseille after joining the club recently from relegated side AS Monaco.
The Phocéens were 5-4 winners of Lille in the Trophée des Champions(French Super Cup).
In a mouth watering clash that took place at the Tanger stadium in Morocco,it was Nkoulou's fellow Ghanaian team mate Andre Ayew who scored a hat trick to lift the trophy for Marseille. 3-1 down with five minutes to go, Morel(85th) and Remy(87th) scored two fast goals to put both sides level on terms before Andre Ayew gave Marseille the lead from the spot after his brother Jordan was fouled inside the box. Bassa levelled scores for the French Champions but Andre Ayew once again from the spot put Marseille 5-4 infront as the grabbed their second consecutive Trophée des Champions.
