The Egyptian striker Borussia Dortmund, Mohamed Zidan, 30, signed a six-month contract with FSV Mainz 05, Germany, with an option for two additional years. For the Pharaoh is a kind of homecoming, since he has already played during two seasons in FSV Mainz 05 (2006 and 2007) with good statistics to his credit (23 goals in 46 games).
In lack of playing time in Dortmund, Zidan said he was pleased with this signature: "I wanted to return to Mainz, he said on the website of the German club, because I have never forgotten the good times I spent with the club and its supporters. "At the end of the away leg, FSVMainz 05 occupies the 12th place of the Bunbdesliga with three points ahead of the first relegatable team.
