Niger: Mena intensify Afcon preps
Niger will play two friendly matches in Dubai next week as part of preparations for the African Nations Cup finals
The Mena Stars will meet Saudi Arabia on November 11 and Russia on November 15 in the United Arab Emirates.
They have equally invited former Olympique Marseille coach Rolland Courbis, who has been approached to lead their team at the Nations Cup finals, to assess the work of the side and the current technical team.
Courbis, a high profile analyst on French radio and TV, is heading to Dubai to watch the two matches and then present a report to coach Harouna Doula Gabade.
Despite qualifying Niger for the Afcon, some top Niger officials want Courbis to take over from Gabde.
Niger have been drawn in Group C for the Nations Cup finals alongside co-hosts Gabon and the North African powerhouses Morocco and Tunisia
