The Red Bulls Salzburg defender has opted to concentrate  with his club duties thus  bringing down an illustrious 15 years  career to an abrupt end. Sekagya’s decision comes barely a week after left-back Nestroy Kizito called time on his Cranes career.  Bad  Boy David Obua started it all when he quit from International duty. His action is  viewed to have inspired both Sekagya and Kizito to call it quits. The duo  will be missed ahead of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and 2014 World Cup qualifiers. Oof all those who have retired this year, Sekagya remains the key figure  to be  missed in the team. He is credited as one of the best Ugandan defender with creativity, drive, commitment and fighting spirit that inspired other players in the pitch.  If the Austrian-based defender had succeeded in propelling the national team to the 2012 Nations Cup finals in Gabon/Equatorial Guinea, he would have arguably been ranked as  Uganda’s best player of all-time – an honour reserved for legends Jimmy Kirunda and Philip Omondi.
