Boxe : Uganda amateur boxing coach Kent passes on
The head coach of Uganda national amateur boxing team, Musa Kibirige Kent has passed on. The trainer passed away on Wednesday at a hospital in the capital.
The cause of his death is not readily known for the legendary amateur boxer, who was reported to have complained of feeling unwell few days prior to his death.
Kent was in charge of the Ugandan amateur boxing team during the just ended 2011 All Africa Games in Maputo, Mozambique.
During his hey days, he was a lightweight boxer who represented the Ugandan Army in the 1970’s.
He nurtured former world junior middleweight champion, Kassim Ouma to global fame.
He has been coaching the Uganda boxing team since 2007.
