Volleyball/2012 Women Pre-Olympic Tournament : The Algeria and Kenya favourites
The women pre-Olympic tournament, Africa zone, begins on Thursday, February 2, at the Algiers Harcha omnisport centre.
The women pre-Olympic tournament, Africa zone, begins on Thursday, February 2, at the Algiers Harcha omnisport centre. Only four teams made the trip, namely Egypt, Kenya, Seychelles and the host country, Algeria. The winner of this tournament played as a single pool will grab its ticket for the London 2012. Algeria, now coached by the Polish Strumilo George, and Kenya, are the big favourites for the competition.
As reminder, the African men volleyball will represented at the 2012 Olympics by Tunisia, who won the qualifying tournament held in January in Cameroon.
