Arab Table Tennis Cup: Algerians Win 4 Medals
The Sub-Juniors’ table tennis team of Algeria has ended the Arab Table Tennis cup in Amman (Jordan) with 4 medals; two of which are gold.
The female youths’ table tennis team of Algeria has ended the Arab Table Tennis cup in Amman (Jordan) with 4 medals; two of which are gold. Back at home after the competition; the Algerian ladies received a warm welcome from their country’s table tennis confederation.
Amongst the 4 medals, Chahinez Bougadoum won the first gold as she outclassed Fatiha Bouclares 4-2 in the juniors’ final. Fatiha finished with silver.
The second gold came through the duo Bougadoum and Bouclares who clashed in the final against Sabeur Melissa and Bassis Maissa of Liban. Algerian ladies crushed their Libanese counterparts 3-0.
Loughribi Lynda and Brahimi Nassima won the Bronze medal in Sub-Juniors’ final. They were defeated by Bensalama and Meriem of Tunisia.
These 4 medals constitute the very first impressive achievement of the Algerian ladies.
The president of the Algerian table tennis confederation appreciated the great efforts of his athletes and encouraged them to maintain the wining spirit as they prepare for the upcoming African tournament and the world circuit in the same categories.
