Harun Njoroge's victory was not really challenged at the Beppu-Oita Marathon in Japan. With a time of 2h 09'38 ", the Kenyan really crossed the finish line with 1'27" ahead of the Mongol Bat-Ochir. He also improves its best performance of more than two minutes. Japan is quite favourable to the Kenya, who had already won the Hokkaido Marathon in August 2011. Note the sixth place of the Ethiopian Desta Gebrihiwet 2h 12 '22 ".
