Dusseldorf Tournament: Participating Algerian Athletes Known
The list of Algerian athletes to take part in the international Judo tournament in Dusseldorf; Germany from February 18-19 has been made public.
The list of Algerian athletes to take part in the international Judo tournament in Dusseldorf; Germany from February 18-19 has been made public. They will be 17 athletes amongst which 9 men and 8 women.
For Algerians, this tournament which is the last before African championships will be a great mean to improve on their Olympic and World performances.
27 years old, Soraya Haddad who obtained a gold medal in 2010 at the tournament will also be part of the crew this year. She is the lone Algerian judo athlete who has snatched a qualification for the London 2012 Olympics.

Men: Lyes Saker (-60kg); Youcef Nouari (-66kg); Larbi Grini (-73kg); Abderahmane Benamadi (-81 kg); Amar Benikhlef (-90kg); Lyes Bouvacoub (-90kg); Yacine Meskine (-100kg); Billel Zouani (+100kg); Mohamed Amine (open).
Women: Sabrina Faidi (-48 kg); Meriem Moussa (-52kg); Soraya Haddad (-52kg); Ratiba Tariket (-57kg); Kahina Saisi (-63kg); Aicha Benabderahmane (-70 kg); Amina Temmar (-78kg); Sonia Asselah (+78kg).
