The champion and world record man of the 800 m, the Kenyan David Rudisha, announced that he would make his comeback to the outdoor competitive in Melbourne and Sydney, as in 2011. He will  participate between February 18 and March 3 in the Qantas Australian Athletic Tour.

The native of Kilgore said he was pleased to find the Antipodes, where he had an excellent performance last year: "Australia was good preparation for my preparation of these last two years, I am very happy to return there. People are friendly, hospitality is very good and the work I carry out there gives a great start to my sport season. As reminder, David Rudisha ran his first 800 m of 2011 in Melbourne, in 1'43 "88.
