Already winner of the 2010 edition, the Kenyan Mike Kigen once more won the San Sebastian International cross. He beat his compatriots Kipruto and Kiprono Menjo. Two of the main favourites, Paul Tanui (Kenya) and Titus Mbishel (Ethiopia), remained off the podium. In the women, it is the Eritrean Natharet Weldu who had the last word before the Kenyan Milcah Chemos and Priscah Jepleting.
