Coolboy Ngamole became South Africa marathon champion by winning the race in 2h 13'18 "ahead of Michael Mazibuko, 2h 15 '12" and Zolani Ntongana, 2h 16' 50 ".
Coolboy Ngamole became South Africa marathon champion by winning the race in 2h 13'18 "ahead of Michael Mazibuko, 2h 15 '12" and Zolani Ntongana, 2h 16' 50 ". Ngamole, who is at his second title, after the one won in 2010, however, remained far from his best time (2h 10 '43 ") on the distance covered in November 2011 in Valencia (Spain). He is already the leading candidate for a ticket to the London Olympics.
In the women's category, the day was carried by Charné Bosman in 2h 41'56 " ahead of Mpho Mabuza (2h 43'29") and Gladys Lukhwareni (2h 48'25 ").
